Looking across the vastness of the Grand Canyon from this classic vantage point on the south rim is an iconic experience of the American west. For me, the experience brings up feelings of awe and humility in the scale of time and space revealed by the canyon - qualities I strived to express in this large work. The Colorado River is just visible in the bottom of the canyon.

Grand Canyon South Rim is painted in acrylic on 1-1/2” hollow-core birch panel with hand-painted, neutral-toned edges for a contemporary look with or without a frame. The work arrives ready to hang.
