Joshua Tree at Black Rock
Joshua Tree at Black Rock
2021
ACRYLIC ON CANVAS by Robin Hostick
18 x 24 in.
The sculptural rock formations of Joshua Tree National Park often take center stage, but the trees themselves, along with other diverse plan life, are just as beautiful and interesting to me. This is a portrait of a Joshua tree in its natural habitat near Black Rock in early spring. Cool shadows pool on the mountain sides while clear sun strikes highlights from the tree’s beautiful form.
Joshua Tree at Black Rock is painted in acrylic on 1-1/2” gallery profile canvas with hand-painted, neutral-toned edges for a contemporary look with or without a frame. The work arrives ready to hang.
