Not far from the more famous Wallowa Mountains, the Elkhorn Mountains of northeastern Oregon are also remote and spectacular. Here, one of the many peaks along the Elkhorn Crest rises above Dutch Flat. We trekked across a lot of snowy ridges around 8000 feet to reach this place, dodging a few mountain goats along the way. I like the play of light across the meadow, newly emerged from snowpack in the shadow of the craggy ridge, and a touch of sun on the distant snowfield.

Prints are 8 x 10 in. (same size as the original) plus a 1.25 in. white border where the print is hand numbered in series and signed by the artist. Final size is 10.5 x 12.5 inches.
